A Mexican-born designer, Maria started her career in the arts at the age of nine, participating in the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes and graduating from Arte, AC/ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico, with a dual degree in Graphic Design and Advertising. An extraordinary illustrator in traditional and digital media, she designs and develops artwork for art glass, mosaics, murals, statuary and liturgical furniture.

Her background includes Programming Director for KLDO Telemundo in Laredo, TX; Senior Art Director at Tristar, Corp.; and Product Development/Packaging for Newell-Rubbermaid. At the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX, she served as Communications Specialist and Art Director and designed and published all printed and online communications in both English and Spanish for the congregation's ministries in five different countries.

Her expertise designing visuals for brand strategies is now applied to developing graphics support for project fundraising and to the development of patrimony reports for historical purposes and insurance or replacement value.
